Reported Decision Leads to Settlement A life insurer failed to pay a death benefit to our client, the beneficiary of the life insurance policy. The insurance company claimed that the policy wouldn't have been issued if they had known about what they claimed were "pre-existing" medical conditions. The life insurance company sought to have the case dismissed. The evidence we produced convinced the Court that the case should proceed to trial. The insurance carrier settled before the case proceeded to trial.
